TRANSIT, from the Yonge Street subway line, exit at
the Queen Street station, at the Eaton Centre, and take the westbound
Queen 501 streetcar west to Bathurst Street. BakkaPhoenix is located
on the south side of Queen Street West, in the middle of the first
block west of Bathurst. From the Bathurst Station on the Bloor subway
line, take the southbound Bathurst 511 streetcar south to Queen Street
West. BakkaPhoenix is about a half a block west of this intersection,
on the south side of Queen Street West. Go
to Toronto Transit Commission's Website By CAR, there is public (metered) parking on both sides of Queen Street West, but it is patrolled with military precision.. There is a large city parking lot, two blocks east of the store, at Augusta and Queen. Keep in mind that downtown Toronto can be traffically-challenging, especially during rush hours. By FOOT: We are at 697 Queen Street West, several blocks west of our previous location (soooo last century). Numbers count up as you move west from Yonge, and odd numbers are on the south side. From the Eaton Centre at the intersection of Queen and Yonge Streets, walk west for about twenty minutes, to the intersection of Bathurst St and Queen. You will walk through one of the most interesting sections of the city, seeing the layers at the core of its history, passing both the Old and New City Halls, the new Opera House, Osgoode Hall, University Avenue, the shadow of the CN Tower, the Silver Snail Comic Shop, the old Bakka location and Spadina Avenue, Augusta and Portland Streets. You will cut across the throbbing Entertainment District and enter the burgeoning Art and Design District, and when you reach Bathurst Street you are steps from the new store. We are on the south side of Queen, in the middle of the first block west of Bathurst Street. A great walk of a summer afternoon, but a cold and windy one in winter. |
